چکیده

Abstract Background Cotton ( Gossypium spp.) is one of the most important economic crops worldwide, and its production plays an role in economy many countries. Genetically modified herbicide-tolerant (GMHT) crops, which were developed to minimize losses caused by weeds, have gradually become widely adopted genetically world due their environmental benefits. However, potential ecological risks GMHT attracted extensive attention controversy. Arthropod communities form a prominent part biodiversity agroecosystems are indicators health. Elucidating effects on diversity arthropod necessary ensure safety crops. Result In this 2-year study, we investigated impact communities. The cotton variety GGK2 with glyphosate tolerance near-isogenic non-GMHT K312 used for experimental groups. Shannon index H ), Simpson D Pielou evenness J principal co-ordinates analysis (PCoA) Bray–Curtis distance evaluate population dynamics arthropods fields. No significant differences found between total abundance communities, indexes sampling dates. composition plots was similar. Sampling dates had effect indexes, whereas no clear tendencies related or × interaction recorded. addition, PCoA revealed high similarity K312. Conclusion There obvious difference abundance, under small-scale planting regime.

Changes in Arthropod Fauna From Weed Management Practices in Genetically Modified Herbicide-Tolerant Maize

Genetically modified maize tolerant to broad-spectrum herbicides may greatly alter weed flora composition, abundance and therefore affect organisms of higher trophic levels, including herbivore and detritivore arthropods and their natural enemies. This three-year study measured the effects on arthropods of an intensive use of broad-spectrum herbicides in comparison with one application of conve...

Allergenicity Study of Genetically Modified Herbicide Resistant Crops (Bioinformatics Assessment)

Genetically modified herbicide resistant (GMHR) crops have seriously affected the increase of food production. GMHR events are used on >80% 160 million estimated hectares of transgenic crops grown annually across 29 countries. GMHR traits encompass five events, including two transgenes code for glyphosate resistance and insensitive 5enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS), the cp4 eps...

Herbicide Impact on Seagrass Communities

Anthropogenic chemical contamination is of concern due to the continuous decline of ecosys‐ tems. Pesticide use impacts whole environmental matrices, especially aquatic ones, because of collecting watershed pollution in streams, rivers, and finally coastal areas. The coastal environment is one of the most vulnerable: global changes (current sea level rising, ocean acidification, global warming)...
